I purchased these to see what the quality was like, made from recycled shredded plastic with a plastic edging strip, They work by reducing direct sun light, very dark underside plus the colour black absorbs the sun light, if they were a buff or yellow colour would be better, black material gets very hot, heat is trapped underside if no back / through draught. Would I purchase again? NO!

I wanted this to put around a fruit cage to do two things, protect my fruit from cold winds and to shade them to stop them drying out in the prolonged sun we have had. The great thing, they have ring holes at the top which I use by putting a strong cord through them and attach the cord to fixings at the end of my cage. This allows me to ‘draw them back’ when needed when apples and other fruits need to be pollinated. Recommend
